Many of the tasks as the Production Electrician are on par with other shows put on at the school, such as layouts, scheduling/ planning, purchasing, CO2 procurement, and rentals. But, since the Nutcracker Load-in and Load-out spill into Thanksgiving and Winter break respectively there are paid calls involved. Meaning that I had to work with payroll and HR to budget for and pay my crew on those days of work. This was a big step up from normal responsibilities as I was not given specific information on pay-rate or total budget I had to pay my crew.
